The Arizona Secretary of State’s office just released a statement saying that across the state, there remain almost 620,000 ballots left to be counted, with 407,000 of those ballots being in Maricopa County alone. This comes as officials in Maricopa County announced that the tabulators in about 20 percent of the polling sites were malfunctioning on Election Day.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court temporarily blocked Congress from obtaining former President Donald Trump’s tax returns.
Chief Justice Roberts’s stay comes after Trump filed an emergency application to the Supreme Court on Monday, asking it to halt the order, and this temporary stay gives the court more time to consider Trump’s emergency appeal.
Right now, there is an alarming trend of young people dying from unknown causes. Specifically, looking at the numbers coming from the Human Mortality Database for the United States over the past two years, they show that starting in 2020, excess mortality rates began to skyrocket.
Despite there being an official date for the midterm elections, many states offer their citizens the ability to vote beforehand. This is done through either mail-in ballots or in-person early voting. And it seems like many people across the entire country are taking advantage of this opportunity, and indeed voting early.
In fact, according to data from the U.S. Election Project, as of Monday morning, 7.5 million people have already voted early across the United States—which is a massive increase compared to the last midterm election that was held four years ago. Specifically, looking at their online report, 7.5 million people have voted early, with 1.6 million doing it in person, and another 5.8 million having voted early through a mail-in ballot.
Five months ago, the U.S. Census Bureau admitted that during the most recent census, they miscounted the populations in 14 different states.
Notably, they under-counted the populations in six states—Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Illinois—while simultaneously overcounting the populations in eight states—Hawaii, Delaware, Rhode Island, Minnesota, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Utah.
